I decided to walk in Kalihi to fill in some puka's(holes) in my routes. Leaving my parked car, I spotted this wide, colorful band of rainbow. Always spectacular and very vivid in the morning sun.
Lots of backtracking got me 3.37 miles for the day and satisfaction of completing an area that was previously only partially done.
The brightly colored dress caught my attention, so I had to investigate! The clothes are well sewn and the patterns on the material are wearable art! The prices are 50% off the regular price and called, "Jamsworld." The lovely Christina has been working here for 8 years! Located off of Kalani street in Kalihi, you could wear one-of-a-kind fashions in joyful colors!
To my avid coffee drinkers, have you ever had some "Lion Coffee?" It just so happens that the company is located off of Kalani street with a cafe and tours! The first tour in English starts at 10:30 a.m. When did I so happen to drop by? 10:25 a.m.! So, I decided to take the tour! It was very enlightening and they gave us packaged samples and sample drinks. I recommend this tour to anyone who LOVES coffee!
My absolutely favorite manapua store! What is manapua? A doughy bun with your choice of filling, but the traditional is pork. You can find this on the intersection of Kalihi St. and Kalani St. Please give this a try!
Watch out! Car-eating bougainvillea! Just joshing! But I thought that you were wondering where the flower pictures are! HaHa! Where I walked, its lined with businesses, not plants! I hope that you visit any of these places if you have the chance or you're just in the neighborhood. A hui hou! (Until we meet again!)
How cool! Car-eating bougainvillea! I wonder if the driver just parks it back there or if he hasn't driven the car in a long long time. The tires look kinda flat.
ReplyDeleteI definitely wanna do the coffee tour. I gotta learn how to make coffee now that I know how to make tea!
I love all these adventures you go on, and hope to join you for some more soon!
