Not only do we show ALOHA (Love) to everyone, we do it to our plants too!  Found in the same yard, BOTH coconut trees have been braced to support the trees in more ways than one!  Have you seen such care anywhere else?

Feeling like completing a puka (hole), my route through Kahala did just that.  The area is residential, and I love to see the various ways people make their homes unique! Slightly overcast, but, not raining, I had a very comfortable walk, as well as colors aren't washed out from the harsh sunlight! Finishing the area totaled 4.31 miles, nothing to sneeze at!

Even though I'm posting on the 26th of December, the actual walk took place on December 11th!  I don't know if you know that the "Honolulu Marathon" takes place on that day!  Here is a picture of the Kenyans, who just passed the 5 mile mark in 20 minutes!  Well, I could go pretty far as the Walking Hawaiian if I went that fast, but, it would defeat the purpose of learning the aina (land) by going the slow pace of walking!

If you refer to the previous map, look for Kahala Ave.  The tail end of the race courses through that road.  At this point, the participants need lots of encouragement and medical care, so lively music and Satohap spray is used to alleviate pain temporarily in sore muscles, to bolster their determination!

A garage door resembling a basket weave is original and probably fosters good ventilation!

Any engineers in the house?  I understand the wire being used to stabilize and strengthen the cement of a driveway.  But what does the glass pieces do?  I've never seen something like this before!

I guess that you can't be any more clear than that!  Even the faces on the door to the home seems to be saying, "NO!"  Their yard must be irresistible to dogs to do their business!

This "Mock Orange" bush brings back a flood of memories, as my neighbor separated our yards with tall bushes instead of a fence or a wall.  The blossoms were very fragrant and blooms only occasionally.  I hope that pleasant memories will follow you throughout the day! Aloha No!( Lots of love!)
